I came to Canada with my family from Philippine in 2023 and I was eager to find a job to help my family. When I met CCSYR’s employment specialist and explained my family situation, she helped me build a good resume based on my previous working experience and invited me to the youth employment and skills workshops. After one week, I found a job at a popular fast-food outlet.
I came to Canada with my family in 2022 for a better and safer place to live and build my life from zero. I have a web designer degree from Ukraine. The youth employment specialist at CCSYR helped me build a resume and practice through mock interviews. She encouraged me to make cold calls and send out my resume. I followed her advice and landing a job in IT soon.
I came to Canada with my mother and two siblings from Iran. I had difficulty finding a job in Canada in the beginning till the youth employment specialist from CCSYR began guiding me. She helped me build an up-to-date resume, hone interview skills and participate in few employment workshops. After three weeks, I found a job in a car dealership and started making money to cover my expenses.
