A Therapist’s Support β Starting With Listening
Not sure if you need one conversation or several? You don’t have to decide that before you call. Tell us what’s going on, and our team will help you figure out what fits β a single session today, or ongoing sessions over weeks or months, with a registered therapist trained in exactly what you’re dealing with. We serve individuals, couples, and families across York Region.
Single Session Counselling β For When You Need to Talk Today
Some days, one good conversation is enough to get you through. Single session counselling gives you a focused hour with a registered therapist. People come in dealing with anger, stress, family conflict, grief, or a decision they can’t think clearly about on their own. You leave with something you can actually use.
Men’s Counselling Link
Free, confidential sessions with a registered therapist for men and male-identifying individuals (16+) dealing with relationship conflict, anger or stress, or the effects of past abuse or harmful behaviour.
Ongoing Counselling β For the Longer Road
Itβs also okay when some things take more than one conversation to work through. Ongoing counselling means regular sessions with the same registered therapist, over weeks or months, working toward change that actually holds. Our team includes registered professionals in psychotherapy, marriage and family therapy, social work, and psychology β so you’re matched with someone whose specific training fits what you’re facing.
Individual Counselling
Big changes β a move, a loss, a breakup, a health diagnosis β can throw off even the most put-together person. Individual counselling gives you regular time with a registered therapist to work through what’s going on, understand your own patterns, and come out steadier than you went in.
Couple Counselling
Most couples don’t need to be told their relationship isn’t perfect β they need somewhere to actually work on it. Our registered couples therapists help you rebuild trust, get better at arguing without it turning into a fight, and navigate the bigger stuff: blending families, remarriage, recovering from an affair, or supporting a partner through illness.
Family Counselling
Family life gets loud β new babies, teenagers pulling away, blended households, everyone just trying to keep up with school and chores and each other. Family counselling gives everyone a chance to be heard and, with a registered family therapist guiding the process, figure out together how to get along better and feel closer as a family.
Meet Our Therapists
Every registered therapist at CCSYR β in psychotherapy, social work, marriage and family therapy, or psychology β is trained to work with exactly what you’re going through. Many of our therapists are newcomers themselves, so they understand firsthand what it’s like to settle into a new country, a new culture, and a new life. Our multilingual team includes therapists who specialize in working with specific communities across York Region β so you can feel understood from the very first conversation, not just heard.
Cost and Access
We offer a sliding scale based on income, and some services may involve a fee β our team will walk you through exactly what applies before you book anything.
