I want to sincerely thank Nilou for the passion and creativity she brings to every class. Her warm personality and innovative teaching methods have had a real impact on my learning journey. Through storytelling, games, and thoughtful discussions about art, each session is engaging, inspiring, and effective.
Since joining her classes, I’ve seen clear progress in my language skills – especially in vocabulary, speaking, and confidence. Nilou creates a safe, encouraging space that makes learning both enjoyable and meaningful. I’m truly grateful to be part of her classes and deeply appreciate her dedication.
I feel lucky to have joined the Chinese painting session organized by CCSYR at the Aurora Public Library soon after arriving in Canada. As a beginner, I was surprised and delighted to paint with a traditional writing brush under Mr. Yao’s guidance. I’m also grateful to Ms. Yan Wu from CCSYR, who not only organized the session but also introduced me to many helpful programs such as English Conversation Circle, which has greatly improved my language skills, and the Newcomers Meet-up session. These programs have made it much easier for me to adapt to life and study in Canada. They also conduct Community Connection sessions, Information sessions, and Drop-In services at libraries. Thank you, CCSYR, for all the support you provide to newcomers through the libraries!
