Elvan Duras

Manager, Clinical Services

I hold a master’s degree in psychology from Uskudar University in Istanbul, Turkiye, and I’m a proud member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). I also completed the Social Service Worker Immigrant and Refugee Program at Seneca College and am a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) as a Registered Social Service Worker (RSWW).

I have a passion for supporting individuals and advocating for marginalized communities. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with diverse groups, from children to seniors. I love developing creative strategies to meet the unique needs of different communities, and my Master’s project on “Attachment Styles and Human Behaviors” was a special highlight of my academic journey.

In 2021, I was honored to be named Volunteer of the Year for leading the Well-being Training Project for the Toronto Artistic Swimming Team. I’ve also been proud to make Seneca College’s President’s Honour Student list for two consecutive years.

On a personal note, I’m a twin mom and two cats mom! I believe in building meaningful relationships, collaborating with others, and creating a sense of community wherever I go. When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family and loved ones, focusing on self-care and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
