Her academic achievements include being on the Honors list during her master’s program.
Over the last 25 years, Fairouz has served in the social work and service field, helping individuals and families thrive in their communities. Her passion for helping others led her to volunteer with the United Nations and UNICEF since she was 17 years old. Her exceptional work in empowering refugee women in Jordan & orphans in Saudi Arabia has earned her prestigious awards from the United Nations and UNICEF. Through her efforts, she provides crucial resources and education, enabling countless individuals to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
When she arrived in Canada, Fairouz’s journey of providing help to people started again at CCSYR in 2016, where she began as a client and progressed to roles as a volunteer and then a community navigator. This experience allowed her to help numerous newcomers settle in Canada by sharing her insights and providing support in various aspects of their lives. She now serves as the Community Engagement Manager for Libraries, where she is deeply committed to making a positive impact and ensuring the establishment and maintenance of strong relationships with other community partners to better serve communities. CCSYR and its members are considered her second family, of course.
