Adelina Bridi
Director, Settlement Services
With over 20 years of nonprofit experience, and a graduate of York University and Seneca College, I have dedicated my career to leading initiatives that serve diverse communities, including youth at risk, children with autism, newcomers, and those in shelters. As an immigrant, I have come to understand the unique challenges newcomers face, as I first handedly witnessed the struggles of my own parents. Although we have come so far, yet there are many challenges that still needs to be addressed and advocated for. My experience working in the employment and settlement field, along with my insights from working with the shelters in the downtown core, allowed me to effectively understand the needs and struggles marginalized individuals face.
As a member of CCSYR’s leadership team, I believe in providing the support, resources, and opportunities individuals need to overcome obstacles and achieve their potential. I am committed to advocating for systemic change and influencing policies that affect marginalized populations. Ultimately, my goal is to drive meaningful change that positively impacts the lives of those we serve while fostering a culture of inclusivity and empowerment.
In my spare time I love to spend time with my son, stay active and enjoy the little things in life that bring so much joy and happiness. I do admit that I do not have a “green thumb” (I have actually killed a cactus, I know right!!) but I admire, and appreciate the beauty that people with “green thumb” can bring to this world. 😊
