Why your support matters

The need for comprehensive support services has never been greater. With your help, HER2024 aims to provide:

  • Vital Counselling Services: Survivors of domestic violence need immediate access to professional counselling to heal from their trauma. Your donations will ensure that no one is turned away due to lack of funds.
  • Empowerment Through Entrepreneurship: Our Incubator Program is designed to give survivors the tools and support they need to start their own businesses. By fostering entrepreneurship, we help women achieve financial independence and regain control of their lives.

Meet our Keynote Speaker: Andrea Macleod

Andrea Macleod is a dynamic and inspiring artist known for her vibrant and expressive paintings of both animals and people. Andrea has a natural ability to transform her profound life experiences into powerful visual narratives.

With a distinguished 24 year career in law enforcement, and as a Corporal in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Andrea dedicated herself to serving her community and supporting countless victims of domestic violence.

Her transition into the art world has allowed her to express her creativity through bold, colourful, and expressive paintings that resonate deeply with viewers. Each piece serves as a reminder of the strength and resilience that is inherent in all of us, ultimately encouraging those who might doubt themselves to recognize their own strengths. Through her art, Andrea continues to inspire and uplift, making a significant impact both on the canvas and in the lives of others.

Quote:
My hope is that my art will encourage others in embracing their own empowerment and to inspire their ability to be bold. It’s about being a voice for the voiceless. A champion of the meek and an ambassador for all.
