Microsoft Word

SEPYR provides settlement services in many languages for newcomer students and their families, in their local schools. SEPYR is administered and staffed by CCSYR, in partnership with the York Region District school Board, the York Catholic District School Board and Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

The School Settlement Workers work closely with school staff, parents, students and volunteers to establish welcoming communities in the school for newcomers and to pave the way for a smooth integration in Canadian society.

SEPYR is part of the Settlement Workers in Schools Program (SWIS).
